I walked around in the dark this morning trying so hard not to wake my wife up, while looking for my running shoes. After 20 minutes and waking her up. They were on my feet. Fail.

When my daughter was younger she complained of earaches due to constant ear infections. We were putting drops in her ears often and had a regular process set in place. One day she was particularly pronounced about the pain, but I chalked it up to her just being tired and irritated with the whole situation. I wanted her to let me put drops in, but she refused saying that it hurt too bad. I yelled at her and forced her to let me put the drops in. As the drops went in, she screamed and a mixture of blood and eardrops came out on to the cotton ball. Her eardrum had burst from the pressure of the ear infection. I felt absolutely horrible, like I was the worst parent in the world. We took her to the doctor, and from that moment forward I decided to listen to my child even when I think I know better. I am more patient and communicative now and am thankful there was no permanent damage.

I don't think there is room here for all of my jack-ups but....

Yesterday I was playing with my phone while driving. If my brakes weren't awesome, I'd have a huge insurance claim on my hands and possibly a hospital stay. (I could smell the rubber for a while afterward.)

What I learned: Just drive. That text, tweet, or facebook status update can wait. It's not worth a life or a big, expensive claim.

I don't even know where to start, hmmm. OH! This one just happened Friday...

1. Mistake- I gave a client one name the first time I called, and communicated by email, and a different name the second time I called. (it was a stressful day and it just blurted out instantaniously like bllleeehhh) WTF? Do I even know who I am? I thought in the moment how I could fix it like "maybe he didn't hear me and I can just, um ya" But, he heard. I just got off the phone and hoped it would blow over. To which he then wrote an email back to the first named girl telling her the second named girl called him. OMFG!!! Now what! I set the record straight, felt like a douche for those painful moments, and figured I'll have to make it up in person and overwhelm him with a GREAT impression. Ya, I'm pretty much fucked.

2. What I learned- I'm schitzophrenic. And retarded.

3. Signed- Who am I
